If you are anything like me, you love caffeine!
There is nothing better than heading to your favourite cafe to enjoy a coffee while you sit and watch the world go by.
I am forever looking for new coffee spots but here are some of my favourite coffee spots in Whanganui…
In no particular order as they are all great!

Mud Ducks
This funky little spot is in a prime location right by the river & in the same complex as the Whanganui I-Site Visitor Information Centre which makes it a perfect starting point for visitors to our city.
Start your day with your favourite coffee & something from Mud Ducks’ mouthwatering menu and plan your adventures for the day. The service here is always excellent the coffee is spot on & it is about a minute walk from our main street which offers excellent shopping. Perfect!

Element
Element’s location is second-to-none. It offers a restaurant feel inside with it’s grand architecture and then there’s this awesome little outdoor area which I fell in love with the moment I saw it. Element offers great coffee, lots of space and a buzzing atmosphere right in the heart of town.

The Yellow House
I have been a fan of Yellow House for a long time now. Located on the edge of the CBD by the Dublin Street Bridge, the Yellow House is a very popular spot for brunch, lunch, a snack or just coffee. The place is always buzzing which offers a wonderful atmosphere. There is a great selection of indoor and outdoor seating. The Yellow House really does have it all!

The Big Orange
The Big Orange offers a great central location on one of the cutest little street corners in Whanganui. When visiting the Big Orange and the weather’s good, be sure to take advantage of the fantastic street side seating area. This spot offers one of the best people watching spots in town

The Village Snob
This is an exciting new concept for Whanganui. The Village Snob is situated on the side of the road – literally! Coffee is served from a coffee cart with exceptional service, I believe the service offered here at the Snob could quite possibly be the best in town. ‘The Snob’ takes his time with every coffee he makes and quite happily chats away to you in the process.
Once you have that perfect cup of coffee, you can wander along the riverside and enjoy the sights and sounds of our town.

Mischief on Guyton
Mischief on Guyton is a quirky little coffee spot with a style all of it’s own. This spot has the cutest little courtyard out the back with an outstanding mosaic on the wall. Mischief offers exceptional coffee, great service and a fantastic selection of food. Mischief also boasts an awesome set up with lots of nifty second hand pieces.

So those are my picks. Where is your favourite coffee spot in Whanganui? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. I hope this gives you some great ideas if you are a visitor to our wonderful city.

From my destination to yours….
